Requirements:
Develop sales forecast and establish performance norms. Provide analysis and create sales forecast and budget preparation. Prepare reports including: Key performance indicators analyzing sales volumes vs. projected sales volumes. Set sales goals and quotas. Analyzes sales statistics to formulate policy and to assist sales team in promoting sales. Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume and potential sales.
Manages the departments daily key performance indicators, identifies and responds to root cause of issues and/or obstacles that interfere with them. Analyzes sales statistics to guide sales representatives in their sales performance.
Grow sales team, set team objectives, measure sales activity and evaluate performance. Ensure development of individual sales account plans to manage sales pipeline to achieve sales targets and drive successful results. Assist Sales team in developing new customer contacts, leads, and their territory. Directs staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and coach company sales representatives.
Develop new business opportunities leveraging network of customers, current client relationships, and prospect leads.
Be considered a subject matter expert (SME) in packaging solutions. Identify and develop new applications and opportunities for existing packaging solutions. Develop and execute a sales strategy to bring products into the packaging market
Evaluate competitive environment, differentiate between competitive solutions and articulate how to position to overcome competitive obstacles.
Maintaining knowledge of the marketplace and products. Coordinates use of other company resources (e.g. technical, advertising) to provide value added services to accounts. Actively participates in account reviews and public relations.
While the regular working cycle of this production is usually working five-eight hour days Monday-Friday; working hours may vary as specified by management. Must be able to work overtime on a regular basis and/or be on call as directed by management.
Regular and predictable attendance is required between the assigned start and end times of work.
Assures and maintains safe and healthful working conditions while enforcing safety rules and regulations.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Education:
Broad training in a related professional field usually acquired through college level (BA preferred) education or an equivalent combination knowledge, skills, education or work-related experience.
Job related experience for 5-8 years minimum. Experience in the packaging industry or related required.
Working knowledge of the following areas:
- Successful track record of growing a territory and sales
- Experience providing custom products and consultative sales solutions based on providing value, not just price driven
- Ability and track record of developing and executing a sales plan to reach target accounts
- Innovative problem solver; recognizing customer needs, providing alternatives and selling and implementing alternative solutions
- Strong presentation skills
- Ability to effectively manage a sales territory and the selling process
